Press kit

Everything you need to write about Adoptice. If something is missing, ask and we will send it.

In one paragraph

Adoptice is an independent registry where anyone can symbolically adopt a real glacier from the Randolph Glacier Inventory or follow an Antarctic iceberg tracked weekly by the US National Ice Center. Each adoption comes with a certificate that anyone can verify, and each piece has a page with real satellite pictures. The ice is real. The adoption is symbolic and gives no legal ownership.

Facts

  • 274,531 glaciers in the registry (Randolph Glacier Inventory 7.0).
  • Antarctic icebergs from the weekly US National Ice Center list.
  • Follow is free. Verified adoptions are one-time purchases with a 14-day refund.
  • Run by Boudjelal Maria, sole trader, trading as Adoptice (Algeria).
